Principal's Message

Welcome to Rio Vista Middle School

Today is a Great Day to be a Titan!

In observance of Breast Cancer Awareness month, students are encouraged to wear pink or their Rio Vista Breast Cancer Awareness t-shirt every Friday in October.
REMINDER---Costumes are not allowed at school. Please discuss this with your student as Halloween is next week.
Fantastic Four: Be There & Be Ready
Participating in class discussions helps your child pay attention and learn more. Encourage your student to speak up with tips like these:
• When they study, they can jot down ideas they would like to share in class. That way, they’ll have a list to refer to during the class discussion.
• Encourage them to answer and ask questions in class. They may introduce possibilities that others haven’t thought of.
• Remind them to share the spotlight. Staying on topic and keeping comments brief will give peers a chance to jump in.
• Respect a big idea at Rio Vista. Encourage your student to speak up but to be respectful if they disagree with a classmate’s comment. (“I understand what you’re saying. Another way to look at it is…”)
